Intervention classes are not a punishment. They are an opportunity to revisit subject matter and ensure proficiency in the core subjects. Students will revisit the LEARNING TARGETS for the previous three weeks for one of the core subject areas (English, math, science, or social studies). At the end of the three weeks the student will retake the COMMON ASSESSMENT. The score on this assessment will replace the score the student received on the first one. Intervention Advisory is the first period of the day.
Students who demonstrate master of the LEARNING TARGETS on the COMMON ASSESSMENT but do not complete or turn in class or homework assignments for the preceding three week cycle will be assigned to a STUDY HALL class during the Advisory Period for the next three week cycle.
