CLAIREMONT COMMUNITY OF SCHOOLS
Clairemont Community of Schools are meetings in which representatives from all 5 feeder elementary schools, Marston and Clairemont High School discuss topics like K-12 alignment, district updates, enrollment, marketing and items brought forth to the committee. Guests can attend to be part of the discussion and can also request that a topic be discussed. Area Superintendents and a SDUSD Board Trustee often attend these meetings. Please join us at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8 for our first meeting of the year! All are welcome! Link to meeting: https://sandiegounified.zoom.us/j/87592392793

Unless stated otherwise by your child’s math teacher, participation is entirely voluntary. Students can access ST Math through Clever.com Click here and scroll to the bottom for more information.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS MATERIALS AND STUDENT PLANNERS
Student Planners (also called Agendas) and English Language Arts materials for 7th and 8th grade were distributed earlier this week. If you weren’t able to pick-up these materials, please contact Marston’s Library Tech Ms. Yeatts at [email protected]
COUNSELING SUPPORT GROUPS
Marston Counselors offer support groups for students once a week. Groups are not therapeutic but offer a place for students to get support from counselors and peers, interact and share ideas. Groups are held every Wednesday on Zoom from 2:00-2:40. Please use this link to sign up. You will receive a follow up email with the Zoom link. If you have further questions about counseling groups, please email your child's counselor.
Counseling for students and families is also available for students with Medi-Cal or those without health insurance. Please contact your school counselor for information and a referral.

QUARTER SYSTEM AND PROGRESS REPORTS
Quarter One courses are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd period courses that span from August 31 to October 30th. On October 9, a Progress Report will made available to parents in Powerschool that will reflect grades in the child’s three Quarter One courses for the first 5 weeks of school. A progress report is a “moment in time” update that is permanently stored in Powerschool. The Quarter One final grade will become visible in Powerschool on November 10.
